about Peabod

Federal Way (253 Represent!)

What did you study in college? Where?
I studied Organizational Communication at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington.

Size of your family?
I have one brother and one sister, both younger than me.

Dogs or Cats?
Dogs for SURE. I wish I could like cats, but I’m so allergic to them that saying I don’t like them is just easier.

What are your 3 favorite things to watch on Netflix?
Parks and Recreation, Parks and Recreation, and probably also Parks and Recreation.

What was the last movie that moved you/made you laugh out loud/inspired you?
I know it’s a superhero movie, but I LOVED Black Panther. It was so well done and all the underlying themes about equality and social justice were honestly really moving.

Top 3 favorite albums of all time?
Oof. This is TOUGH. If we go with the 3 that have been most formational for me, I’d say Hello Hurricane by Switchfoot, Mylo Xyloto by Coldplay, and then Coloring Book by Chance the Rapper. But honestly those 3 could probably be a totally different set of albums and also be very true!

Guilty Pleasure music?
Older Taylor Swift. I wasn’t feeling the newest album, but Speak Now; that album is my jam.

What do you listen to in the car?
Depends on the time of day and the season. In the morning I listen to bands like Kings Kaleidoscope and All Sons & Daughters, but I really love listening to more electronic pop at night, like M83 or Francis & The Lights. During the day I listen to A LOT of hip hop. Kendrick is in regular rotation, and then I just cycle through all the new hip hop that comes out every week.

What are your favorite podcasts?
I like the Bible Project a lot, as well as podcasts from my Dad’s church. I also really like Song Exploder.

What was your first concert?
The first concert that I really chose to go to was Switchfoot on their Hello Hurricane tour, but I had seen Steven Curtis Chapman before that.

Who is your favorite artist/ band and how many times have you seen them in concert?
Switchfoot was my favorite band for years, and they are still near and dear to my heart. I’ve seen them 3 or 4 times I think. My current favorite though would have to be Chance the Rapper. I’ve only seen him once but it was one of my favorite shows ever.

Which character from The Office or Parks & Recreation do you most identify with?
I’d say probably Ben on Parks and Rec. He’s very well-intentioned and a pretty good friend to people, but he’s also a big dork and can be pretty nerdy. Fun-fact: one time Adam Scott (the actor who plays Ben) retweeted me.

Favorite sitcom?
Seinfeld for sure.

Last book you read OR your current favorite book?
I’m almost done with Ready Player One and that has been amazing. Super creative and different.

What are your favorite books?
Either the Harry Potter series or the Lord of the Rings. Love both of those series a ton.

Favorite Sports Team?
Every single Seattle team, but especially the Seahawks.

Favorite place to have a meeting in Nashville (or surrounding areas ie. Franklin)?
Frothy Monkey is probably my favorite, mostly because they have wonderful gluten-free sandwiches, and that’s hard to find.

Introvert or Extrovert?
Extrovert for sure! I definitely have some introverted tendencies though.

Myers- Briggs Personality type?
ESFP, which is also known as “the Entertainer.” I guess I picked the right career!

Favorite place in the entire world?
There’s a small town on the Amalfi Coast in Italy called Positano and it’s incredible. It’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever been, and the pace of life there is so relaxing. Also, they have wonderful gluten free food. (I’d say Maui and Disneyland are tied for a close second though.)

How Many States have you been to?
I think 14? I might have forgotten one…

Which countries have you traveled to?
Canada (does that count?), Italy, and a brief layover in the Netherlands.

What is the best gift you’ve ever received?
Probably my acoustic guitar. It was given to me when I graduated from high school and it was the first time I had ever owned my own guitar (I had just been playing my dad’s for years!).

Morning person or night owl?
I’d say night owl, but just because I’m NOT a morning person.

Person you got nervous meeting and why?
Jon Foreman. I met him when I was a freshman in college and I just got all choked up and it was kind of embarrassing. I think the fact that I was meeting my songwriting hero at the time was just overwhelming. I don’t think I would have the same reaction now, but who knows!

Chocolate or vanilla?
I think depends on the flavors I’m pairing with it. For example, chocolate raspberry is an incredible combo, but lemon and vanilla are wonderful together as well. Can I say both?

Coffee or Tea?
Black Coffee is my favorite thing ever. That being said, I like tea quite a bit too.

What’s on the top of your bucket list?
Right now, probably getting married to the most awesome girl in the world. After that, the sky’s the limit!

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a cartoon artist. Drawing was just about my favorite thing to do, besides riding knock-off razor scooters.

Two fun facts about you:
I’m pretty good at impressions, but only of minor characters. For some reason I can never do a good impression of the main character in a movie or tv show…

I’m a die hard Coca Cola fan and I have bottles and cans from many different countries. If you’re traveling and you’d like to bring me one, please do!
